Barblah

An architecture that serves as a canvas for endless conversations... "Barblah," a vibrant wine bar in Sukhumvit 22, is shaped by our "Narrative of the Client Story" philosophy, focusing on creating a sanctuary for uninhibited socializing and flowing dialogue. Designed under the conceptual framework of "An Intimate Friend's Apartment," this compact 64-square-meter space sheds the traditional, formal wine bar aesthetic in favor of a warm, inviting, and highly personalized atmosphere. The interior is characterized by its playful functionality and bespoke design elements—such as custom seating seamlessly integrated with a bookshelf, and a repurposed rain gutter ingeniously transformed into a suspended wine glass rack (Adaptive Reuse). The spatial highlight is the expansive architectural framing of the window, deliberately capturing the dynamic Bangkok city lights and blurring the boundary between the interior and the urban context. The result is an effortlessly cool space that feels exactly like hanging out in a designer’s private studio, where the wine pours and the stories flow endlessly into the night.
